The European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) is now offering a shortcut to its individual accreditation award for EMCC members who have already been assessed by the International Coach Federation (ICF) on certain criteria.
The EMCC’s shortened version of its individual accreditation award, the European Individual Accreditation (EIA), is on offer to coaches who have already been assessed by the ICF on the following EMCC competence categories: Managing the Contract, Building the Relationship, Enabling Insight and Learning, Outcome and Action Orientation.
ICF-credentialed EMCC members are now exempt from providing evidence of practice, supervision and competence in these categories.
“It is essentially a service for EMCC members, but it does demonstrate our respect for ICF’s assessment processes,” said David Sleightholm, EIA work group leader, EMCC Standards Group.
The two EIA levels for which ICF-credentialed EMCC members can apply are the EIA Practitioner level, open to applicants who hold ICF’s Associate Certified Coach credential, or higher, and the EIA Senior Practitioner level, open to applicants who hold ICF’s Professional Certified Coach credential, or higher.
Only existing EMCC members can apply for this simplified EIA process. They need to have been EMCC members, or members of
country affiliates, for at least one full year prior to their application.
